Other NBA News:
- Phil Jackson is reportedly flirting with the idea of making Lamar Odom the 6th man, but Odom isn't too pleased with that idea. I can't say I blame him and there's no reason why Odom can't start at small forward. This is also assuming Andrew Bynum comes back strong enough to be considered a starter.
- PG Jason Williams retired this past week. Williams had career averages of 11.4 points and 6.3 assists per game and never quite did live up to all the hype he received in his rookie season.
- The Pacers don't want Jamaal Tinsley anywhere near the team and are still looking to trade him. I'm surprised the Warriors haven't taken a look at Tinsley yet. With their problems at PG replacing Baron Davis, I would think there might be some interest there.
- The Timberwolves are in pursuit of PF Shaun Livingston, who is still trying to comeback from his horrible knee injury a few years back.
- Greg Oden rolled his ankle in practice but appears to be fine. Oden is a little too injury prone for my liking though and I'm not convinced he will make it through the season healthy.
- Sam Cassell has re-signed with the Celtics. I guess Celtics fans will have something to complain about again this year.
