Kobe Bryant went off tonight, scoring a Madison Square Garden record of 61 points. The previous record by a Knicks opponent at MSG was when MJ dropped 55 in the classic double-nickel game after just recently returning to basketball after retiring. The previous all-time record was 60 points, which was set by Bernard King on Christmas Day 1984.
