NFL Power Rankings - Week 7

Here are my NFL Power Rankings after Week 7, with last week's ranking in parenthesis:

Week: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

1. Tennessee Titans (6-0) (1)

The Titans took care if business by demolishing the pathetic Chiefs. They enter their toughest stretch of games starting with Indy on Monday night, followed by Green Bay, Chicago, Jacksonville, and the Jets. We should learn a lot about this Tennessee team the next few weeks.

2. New York Giants (5-1) (2)

The Giants handled their business as well this week and will face off with the Steelers in Week 8, which is definitely the best game of the week.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers (5-1) (3)

The Steelers are starting to look mighty impressive and I think they will be able to knock of the Giants at home this week.

4. Washington Redskins (5-2) (5)

The Redskins were able to hold off the Browns and will now travel to Detroit in hopes of pounding the Lions. Jason Campbell has still not thrown an interception this season.

5. Buffalo Bills (5-1) (6)

The Bills got a huge win over the Chargers and proved that they are a legitimately solid team. I would bet that there won't be many teams that go into Buffalo this season and leave with a victory.

6. Carolina Panthers (5-2) (11)

I finally moved the Panthers into the top 10 after they dismantled the Saints. I still have issues with them on the road with just a 1-2 record, but they are 4-0 at home.

7. Philadelphia Eagles (3-3) (7)

The Eagles host the surprising Falcons in Week 8and need to make sure they don't let the Falcons pull off an another upset.

8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2) (10)

The Bucs are tough at home, but they head to Dallas this week in hopes of kicking a team while they are still down.

9. Arizona Cardinals (4-2) (9)

Arizona comes off their bye week with the tough test of playing at Carolina in Week 8. Carolina is undefeated at home, but the Cardinals might have enough offensive fire power to knock them off.

10. Dallas Cowboys (4-3) (4)

The Cowboys are in danged of falling to .500 if they lose to Tampa Bay this week. The Bucs could give Brad Johnson fits and I'm not confident that Dallas will win this game.

11. Green Bay Packers (4-3) (18)

The Packers beat Indy at home in impressive fashion, but they'll have another tough road test at Tennessee after their bye week.

12. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-3) (12)

Jacksonville gets to face Derek Anderson and all this pathetic-ness in Week 8. I think they like their chances.

13. San Diego Chargers (3-4) (8)

I'm not going to hold the Chargers loss to Buffalo against them, because Buffalo is a tough place to get a win no matter how good the Bills are. They'll face another tough test in Week 8 having to fly to London to play a banged up Saints team.

14. New England Patriots (4-2) (19)

I don't think anyone saw the beatdown the Patriots gave the Broncos coming. Matt Cassell played well, but I'm still hesitant to think he's turned a corner, because it was the Broncos defense he faced.

15. Chicago Bears (4-3) (17)

The Bears won a shootout with the Vikings 48-41 this week. Good news is that Kyle Orton has turned out to be a solid QB this season, which surprised me because I thought he wasn't going to be any good. The bad news is the Chicago defense is starting to look ugly.

16. New York Jets (3-3) (14)

The Jets are just not a good road team right now. Maybe later on in the season they will be able to put things together on the road. Luckily for them they are home against the winless Bengals in Week 8.

17. Indianapolis Colts (3-3) (15)

The Colts are another team I just don't trust on the road right now. They'll head to Tennessee on Monday Night as a team desperate for a win.

18. Denver Broncos (4-3) (13)

The Broncos defense is so atrocious that they might have to put up 40 points game to win.

19. New Orleans Saints (3-4) (16)

The Saints have had injury problems the whole season and will have to travel to London to play the Chargers in a battle between desperate teams.

20. Atlanta Falcons (4-2) (20)

The Falcons will head to Philly in Week 8 in hopes of pulling off another upset.

21. Minnesota Vikings (3-4) (21)

Minnesota needs to fix their pass defense if they want to have any chance of making the playoffs.

22. Baltimore Ravens (3-3) (25)

The Ravens are off to a somewhat surprising 3-3 star and have a good chance to go to 4-3 because they host the Raiders in Week 8.

23. Houston Texans (2-4) (26)

I really like the Houston offense. They have a big time WR in Andre Johnson, a dynamic rookie RB in Steve Slaton, and one of the better TE's in Owen Daniels. Matt Schaub has looked good the past two weeks and he'll get a chance to light up Cincinnati in Week 8.

24. Cleveland Browns (2-4) (22)

Derek Anderson was horrible against the Redskins completing only 14 of his 37 pass attempts. I'm not sure how much longer the Browns can wait to before they give Brady Quinn a shot. At this point, I don't see what they have to lose. Maybe Week 10 at home against Denver would be a good time to give him a chance.

25. Miami Dolphins (2-4) (23)

I thought Miami would be able to beat the Ravens at home, but they came up short. Chad Pennington was able to throw for almost 300 yards but the Dolphins weren't able to get into the endzone enough.

26. San Francisco 49ers (2-5) (24)

The 49ers will try to get their new coach Mike Singletary his first victory at home against the struggling Seahawks.

27. Seattle Seahawks (1-5) (27)

Seattle didn't get beat as badly in Tampa Bay as I thought they would, but this still looks like a lost season for them at this point.

28. Oakland Raiders (2-4) (28)

The Raiders got a big win over the Jets and will look to build on that as they travel to Baltimore in Week 8.

30. St. Louis Rams (2-4) (30)

The Rams pulled off the upset of the week by knocking off the struggling Cowboys. They'll head to New England for Week 8 where they will try to pull off another upset and make it 3 wins in a row.

30. Cincinnati Bengals (0-7) (29)

The Bengals opponents this season have a combined record of 28-15. The Bengals have had a tough schedule and losing Carson Palmer has only made it tougher.

31. Detroit Lions (0-6) (32)

The Lions don't catch any breaks as they host a resurgent Redskins team in Week 8.

32. Kansas City Chiefs (1-5) (31)

The Chiefs are a mess and now have to go back to their 3rd string QB and are having problems with Larry Johnson. Gonna be a long season in KC.
