2009 NBA Playoffs: Game 6 - Los Angeles Lakers 119 Denver Nuggets 92 (Highlights)

Game 6: Los Angeles Lakers 119 Denver Nuggets 92

Analysis: The Lakers played a perfect game on offense in this one shooting 57.3% from the floor. Denver looked like a team that ran out of gas the past couple games. I definitely didn't see the same intensity I saw from them earlier in this series and in the earlier rounds. The Lakers always seem to make things look so easy, so it doesn't look like they are playing with intensity when they probably are. With the Lakers playing so well on offense, there was no way the Nuggets were going to win this game, but Chauncey Billups struggled on offense for the second game in a row and the Nuggets are simply just not the same team when he doesn't have things going for him. The Lakers should be the favorites heading into the NBA Finals no matter which team they face. My guess is that Orlando would give them more trouble than Cleveland, but I would expect the Lakers would defeat either one.

Key Players of The Game

Kobe Bryant: Maybe his best game of this series. He finished with 35 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds. He shot 12 of 20 from the floor and 9 of 9 from the line. He set the tone for this game, that's for sure.

Lamar Odom: Another strong effort from Odom has got me thinking his back is finally healed. 20 points and 8 rebounds off the bench for Lamar, while shooting 7 of 12 from the floor.

Pau Gasol: 20 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and a block is definitely an impressive performance for a big man like Gasol. He has such a well-rounded game and a high basketball IQ, but I do wish he would score a little more, since he is so efficient in the post.

Chauncey Billups: He struggled again shooting just 2 of 7 from the floor with 10 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, and 5 turnovers. Definitely not the kind of game the Nuggets need from Chauncey when their backs are against the wall.

J.R. Smith: He did everything he could to try and help the Nuggets win this game and he finished with 24 points off the bench on 10 of 17 shooting.
