2009 NBA Playoffs: Game 6 - Houston Rockets 95 Los Angeles Lakers 80 (Highlights)

Game 6: Houston Rockets 95 Los Angeles Lakers 80

Analysis: The Lakers outrebounded Houston in this game and only turned it over 10 times, so you would think that they had a good chance to win the game. However, they shot an awful 35.7% from the floor and that Houston defense is what did them in. Derek Fisher might need to go to the bench because he's giving the Lakers squat in this series and Jordan Farmar has been playing pretty well. If the Lakers win Game 7 to advance then I think Chauncey Billups is going to be licking his chops. By the way, I'm starting to think for sure that the Nuggets will beat the Lakers. They just seem hungrier and more aggressive and they are definitely just as talented as the Lakers are on offense. Hunger and aggressiveness shows up on defense, with rebounding, and loose balls and that's what's going to do the Lakers in either in Game 7 or against the Nuggets.

Key Players of The Game

Aaron Brooks: He continues to torch Derek Fisher who should be on the sidelines sooner rather than later. He finished with 26 points on 8 of 13 shooting, including 3 of 4 from deep. For the series, he is averaging 18.8 points on 48.1% shooting, which should definitely not be happening. There's no reason why the Lakers can't slow him down better.

Luis Scola: The guy is a solid player but he was more than that in Game 6 finishing with 24 points and 12 rebounds. For the series, he is averaging 13.2 points and 10.5 rebounds.

Carl Landry: Landry is like the Leon Powe of the Rockets. He's an efficient player who always seems to add something off the bench no matter what because of his hustle and energy. He was a perfect 6 for 6 from the floor in this game and finished with 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks.

Kobe Bryant: 11 from 27 from the floor is not going to get it done but the other Lakers need to step up their game right now too. Too much of the offense is reliant on Kobe and Pau and that's not how the Lakers win games. The problem is Kobe is the only creator on the Lakers other than maybe Lamar Odom, who might need to be a little more aggressive in Game 7.
