2009 NBA Playoffs: Game 3 - Denver Nuggets 106 Dallas Mavericks 105 (Highlights)

Game 3: Denver Nuggets 106 Dallas Mavericks 105

Analysis: This game was a slugfest with 61 combined fouls and 80 foul shots. Carmelo Anthony came up with the big three to win the game and him and Billups were both excellent in this game. The Nuggets continue to look like a team on a mission and Carmelo looks to be stepping his game up to next level right in front of our eyes. Remember he doesn't turn 25 until later this month, so it's no surprise that we haven't seen the best of him until now and he should only get better. I think Dallas will win Game 4 at home, but Denver should end this series by Game 5. Bring on the Lakers.

Key Players of The Game

Carmelo Anthony: 31 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 blocks and the game winning three pointer. A complete game for 'Melo.

Chauncey Billups: Billups finally broke out in this series with a big scoring night finishing with 32 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. He shot 9 of 16 from the floor, 3 of 7 from three, and 11 of 12 from the line.

Dirk Nowitzki: Dirk is doing everything he can to try and lead the Mavs to victory in this series, but his team is still coming up short. He finished with 33 points and 16 rebounds in a losing effort.

Brandon Bass: Bass came off the bench and went 12 of 14 from the line to finish with 16 points. Pretty damn impressive even if the Mavs did come up short.
