Kentucky's Jodie Meeks Scores School Record 54 Points Against Tennessee (Video)

I had my questions about whether or not Jodie Meeks and Patrick Patterson would be able to score enough points for Kentucky to be a legitimate threat come tournament time, but if Jodie Meeks is going to pour in 54 points by himself, then it really doesn't matter who else is out there on the court for Kentucky. The 54 points by Meeks against Tennessee broke the school record of 53, which was previously held by Dan Issel in the 1969-1970 season. He finished the game shooting 15 of 22 from the floor, including a school record 10 3-pointers, and he was also a perfect 14 of 14 from the line. To top it off, he also grabbed 8 boards and dished out 4 assists. I told you that Meeks was catching wreck earlier in the season, so if you aren't checking for him now then you probably never will. Meeks is going to be a problem for opposing defenses all season long and I would not want to be playing Kentucky in the NCAA Tournament.

Update: Check out the video of all 54 of Jodie Meeks' points, via ukcat8fan.
