2009 NBA Playoffs: Game 2 - Denver Nuggets 117 Dallas Mavericks 105 (Highlights)

Game 2: Denver Nuggets 117 Dallas Mavericks 105

Analysis: Seems like the Nuggets just have too much firepower for the Mavs and I don't see how the Mavs can win this series. Losing Josh Howard definitely hurt the Mavs in this one since there's no way they can match the scoring of the Nuggets without him. The role players for the Mavs haven't been as effective in this series either. I'm really starting to think the Nuggets might be the best team in the playoffs right now.

Key Players of The Game

Nene: Back to back monster games from Nene. He scored 25 points and grabbed 8 boards, while shooting 8 of 12 from the field. If Nene keeps playing like this the Nuggets will be tough for anyone to beat with him, 'Melo, and Billups forming a deadly trio.

Carmelo Anthony: 'Melo came through with another strong game and finished with 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.

J.R. Smith: Smith has really stepped up his game in the playoffs playing consistently off the bench every night. He finished with 21 points in this game and is averaging 16.6 points a game in the playoffs while shooting 51.2%.

Dirk Nowitzki: Dirk is playing like a star in this series and had 35 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists, but the loss of Josh Howard and not enough scoring help from his teammates didn't allow the Mavs to keep up with the Nuggets.
