Congratulations to the Louisville Cardinals, who won the Big East Tournament yesterday and must likely have secured themselves a # 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. We know that most likely North Carolina and Pitt will be the other # 1 seeds, but will UConn or Memphis grab the last # 1 seed? I feel like UConn is better than Memphis, but Memphis will probably jump in and grab the last # 1 seed.
Getting back to Louisville, I'm still not sure about them making the Final 4. They definitely have the talent to make the Final 4, but their less than stellar offense worries me. Of course, their defense is so great and creates so many turnovers that it might not matter that they shoot worse from the floor then most other teams because they are getting more shots than their opponents. However, what happens when the other team protects the ball and plays solid D against them? I think they lose to any team like that and it would be crazy to think they won't go up against a good ball handling team that plays solid D at some point in the NCAA Tournament. So I certainly think it's possible for them to make the Final 4, but like most teams this year they are vulnerable to certain matchups, and I definitely don't see them winning a National Championship.
