Syracuse Defeats UConn, 127-117, In SIX Overtimes (Highlights)

Wow, this might have been the greatest basketball game I have ever seen...college or NBA...and that is no lie. I thought the Villanova-Marquette game was good, until I watched this 6 overtime thriller between Syracuse and UConn. Syracuse came out victorious, 127-117, after trailing in all 5 of the first overtimes. There was a game winning buzzer beater from Eric Devendorf in regulation that would have ended the game had it been released .1 seconds quicker and that would have made for a great finish in it's own right, but it just ended up adding to the drama of this one. Amazing that .1 seconds difference could change one game from being a great game to becoming one of the greatest games ever. I honestly wish they could have played 10 overtimes, because this game was so damn entertaining. Eight players fouled out, the teams combined for 103 shots in OT while scoring 102 points, UConn had 16 blocks, and Jonny Flynn played a ridiculous 67 minutes out of a possible 70! Not to mention the numerous big shots that were hit by both teams throughout the game. What more could you ask for!

So far this Big East tournament has had an NCAA Tournament feel to it and I don't think you can say that about any of these other conference tournaments. I would not want to see either of these teams in my bracket. Syracuse has some ridiculous offensive fire power and I think their zone will be tricky for the non-Big East teams they play against. UConn is UConn and will be in the mix one way or another. Both of these teams might go down, but as you can see from this game, they won't be an easy out.

March Madness! You gotta love it!
