2009 NBA Playoffs: Game 2 - Orlando Magic 96 Philadelphia 76ers 87 (Highlights)

Game 2: Orlando Magic 96 Philladelphia 76ers 87

Analysis: The Magic were able to pull this game out, but almost blew another double digit lead and the 76ers have to have a ton of confidence now that they are going home. Philadelphia played well in the first two games on the road and has to feel like they can beat the Magic at home. It seems very possible that this could be a 7 game series because the Magic are not playing all that well right now. They are struggling from the outside right now hitting just 11 of 41 shots from downtown. When Orlando hits threes, they are a tough team to beat, but when they aren't hitting from downtown then all bets are off. They better hope they can hit some threes up in Philly or they could get pushed to the brink of elimination by Game 5.

Key Players of The Game

Courtney Lee: Lee has stepped up big in both games so far for the Magic. They probably don't win Game 2 without his performance of 24 points on 10 of 17 shooting. He also came up with 3 steals. When Jameer Nelson went down, I wrote that Orlando should give more minutes to Courtney Lee, because he is good enough to contribute right away. Well, he's definitely proving me right so far and I'm sure the Magic are glad they have him. Now the question is will he be able to play just as well on the road in the playoffs as he has at home?

Andre Miller: Miller has played well in both games in this series. He dropped 30 points last night, along with 7 rebounds 3 assists and 2 steals, while shooting 12 of 20 from the floor.

Thaddeus Young: Solid game for Young, finishing with 20 points on 9 of 15 shooting. He'll have to keep it up if the 76ers want to upset the Magic.

Andre Iguodala: Iguodala has been solid in this series and finished with 21 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals to show off his all around game. It's funny that 3 of the 4 best players in Game 2 were on the 76ers, but somehow the Magic were still able to win the game because the 76ers got absolutely nothing from the rest of their team. The role players should play better at home, which is a good thing for the 76ers.
