2009 NBA Playoffs: Game 1 - Los Angeles Lakers 113 Utah Jazz 100 (Highlights)

Game 1: Los Angeles Lakers 113 Utah Jazz 100

Analysis: The Jazz suck on the road so I'm not surprised at all that the Lakers dominated this game the way they did. Without Okur, the Jazz pretty much have no chance to beat the Lakers on the road. I still think they can win a game or two at home though, but honestly I wouldn't be surprised to see the Lakers sweep the Jazz at this point. The Jazz just don't have a good enough defense to slow down the Lakers. Just like last year's playoff matchup, they continued to outrebound the Lakers in Game 1 grabbing 46 rebounds to the Lakers 38, but they still lost by 13. I don't see the Jazz having much chance in this series.

Key Players of The Game

Trevor Ariza: Ariza was spectacular in this game finishing with 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists; while shooting 8 of 10 from the floor, including 3 of 4 from downtown. He probably won't repeat this performance, but he made things a lot easier for the Lakers in Game 1.

Pau Gasol: Gasol did a little bit of everything in this game and finished with 20 points, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 steals, and 1 assist.

Kobe Bryant: Kobe didn't have a great game, but he let some of his teammates get involved and finished with 24 points and 8 assists.

Carlos Boozer: Boozer is the type of physical player that can hurt the Lakers and it showed as he scored 27 points and pulled down 9 rebounds; while shooting 11 of 16 from the field.
