2009 NBA Playoffs: Game 2 - Cleveland Cavaliers 94 Detroit Pistons 82 (Highlights)

Game 2: Cleveland Cavaliers 94 Detroit Pistons 82

Analysis: More of the same ol' same ol' for the Cavs and Pistons. Lebron dominates, Pistons lose. The free throw discrepancy in this one was beyond ridiculous though. The Cavs shot 43 free throws compared to the Pistons 16. That seems way to out of whack to me. Wish I would have watched the game to see if the Pistons got screwed. One thing to keep an eye on is that the only Cavs playing well in the first two games have been Lebron, Delonte West, Mo Williams, and Ilgauskus. The rest of the Cavs have been pretty much nonexistent. At some point, I think that will be a problem for the Cavs, but probably not until the NBA Finals, although they might lose a couple road games in the second round. I also think Detroit might have a small chance of winning one of their home games, but they need to pick up the intensity for that to happen.

Key Players of The Game

Lebron James: 29 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists. Just another typical night for Lebron.

Mo Williams: Mo played a lot better in Game 2 than Game 1 and finished with 21 points and 7 assists on 8 of 13 shooting. I'm not sure if he realizes yet how aggressive he's gonna have to be for the Cavs to win a title. He has to score 20 plus points night in and night out.

Delonte West: D-West continues to play well for the Cavs in this series. He dropped 20 points on 7 of 12 shooting and added 3 rebounds and 4 assists. I really think he needs to play like a solid # 3 option throughout the playoffs for the Cavs to win a championship.

Richard Hamilton/Rodney Stuckey: Hamilton and Stuckey have shot a poor percentage from the floor two games in a row now. In Game 2, Hamilton was 7 of 16 from the floor and Stuckey was 5 of 15. They need to be much more efficient for the Pistons to win.

Rasheed Wallace/Tayshaun Prince: These two have been virtually nonexistent on the offensive end the first two games of this series. Prince had 2 points on 1of 5 shooting, while Sheed had just 8 points and 4 rebounds on 3 of 7 shooting. That's just not gonna get things done.
