2009 NBA Playoffs: Game 3 - Boston Celtics 107 Chicago Bulls 86 (Highlights)

Game 3: Boston Celtics 107 Chicago Bulls 86

Analysis: I hope the Celtics make all these analysts and sports reporters look stupid by destroying the Bulls the next two games. Derrick Rose and Ben Gordon have one monster game each and all of a sudden everyone says the Celtics are in trouble. Well, in case you didn't notice, Derrick Rose is still a rookie and he's a rookie who can't shoot all that well from the outside and Ben Gordon had the Game in his life in Game 2. He's not going to do that every night. People said if it wasn't for Ray Allen's three-pointer that the Celtics could have lost, but they should have been saying if Ben Gordon didn't go bizerk and drop 42 points then the Bulls would have got crushed. Do we seriously think that Ben Gordon and Derrick Rose are better than Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, or even Ray Allen? This series isn't over yet, but however many games it goes, I still think Boston wins. I said it once and I'll say it again: I don't think this Bulls team is consistent enough to play like they did in Games 1 & 2 every night.

Key Players of The Game

Paul Pierce: Pierce came out on fire and set the tone for the Celtics hitting his first 5 shots. He probably would have dropped 40 in this game had he played more than 28 minutes. I think he comes out in Game 4 in the same aggressive manner. He finished with 24 points on 9 of 15 shooting, including 4 of 8 from downtown.

Rajon Rondo: It's time Rondo gets some props as one of the best players in the NBA. He is absolutely dominating Derrick Rose and the Bulls in this series. He's averaging almost a triple double in this series so far. He put up another impressive line last night: 20 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals.

Glen "Big Baby" Davis: Davis has played great two nights in a row. Earlier in the season, I was telling a friend of mine that the Celtics bench sucked, including Big Baby. Oops, guess he's proved me wrong and he's really improved not only from last season, but also throughout this season. He finished with 14 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 steals, and 3 blocks. Did you ever think you'd see Big Baby putting up numbers like that?

Derrick Rose: 2 games in a row now he has sucked, so I hope everyone gets off his nuts now. 9 points on 4 of 14 shooting with just 2 assists and 7 turnovers. It's called making adjustments and that's what the Celtics did after Game 1, they just got burnt by a red hot Ben Gordon in Game 2, but hey looks like they made an adjustment for that too. Derrick Rose is still a rookie with a weak outside jumpshot and that's not a good combination to have in the playoffs.
