Gary Sheffield Signs With New York Mets

Gary Sheffield and his 499 career home runs will be back in New York City, but this time it will be with the New York Mets, instead of the Yankees. Sheffield has said that he has wanted to play for the Mets ever since his uncle, Doc Gooden, dominated on the mound for them in the 80's and early-90's. Sheffield will most likely be a part time player with the Mets, but should provide some great pop off the bench and is pretty much a lock to hit that 500th home run that may or may not be enough to get him into the Hall of Fame.
